How we handle your data

Your cost data: the daily billing lines you connect or upload (provider, account, service, region, dates, usage and cost).
Your chats: each question, how it was read, and the answer exactly as it was shown.
Saved charts and your settings, plus your name and email if you choose to enter them.
The details needed to read your cloud billing, such as a role or key. These are encrypted before they are saved.
A count of the questions you ask, so plan limits work.
When you ask for a chart type we do not have yet, the wording of that request, so we know what to build.
Problem reports and feedback. Error reports have keys, emails and money amounts removed and never include what you typed or your figures.

In one database file on the machine that runs your workspace. Run locally, that is your computer, and only your user account can read the file.
In the hosted beta it is your own workspace on AWS. Workspaces do not share data. The disk is encrypted, and traffic uses HTTPS.
Hosted backups are copied to a private encrypted storage bucket within seconds, with daily disk snapshots. Backup history is kept for up to 30 days.

Billing event records are kept 90 days. The error log keeps the latest 500 different errors and feedback keeps the latest 2000 notes.
After you delete something it can remain in hosted backups until their history ages out.

Settings, Connections: remove a source and all of its cost lines are deleted.
Settings, Connections: remove an uploaded file the same way.
Delete a single chat from the sidebar, or use Settings, Data controls: Delete all chats. Saved charts can be removed one by one.

The AI only selects. It never writes.

It picks from fixed lists we build in code: which period, which grouping, which chart, which service you meant. If it is unsure, you are asked.
Every word you read comes from fixed templates, and every number comes from a database query over your data.
It is never given your cost amounts, usage or files.

TypeSafe (the Jev AI service): the text of each question, today's date, your fiscal-year start month, the cloud providers you have, and the names of services, accounts and regions from your data that the question seems to mention. TypeSafe states that it does not train or fine-tune AI models on what it receives.
Stripe: handles subscriptions and payment. It receives your email if you entered one and what you type on its page. We never see card numbers.
Your cloud providers: when you connect one, we call its billing APIs with read-only access to download costs. The access you grant only allows reading billing data, and the app only makes read calls, so it cannot change anything in your cloud account.
The demo downloads a public sample file from GitHub. Nothing about you is sent.
Errors stay on your workspace unless the person running it chooses to forward them. There are no advertising or analytics trackers.
We never sell your data.

We only use the email address your provider has verified.
